What is TotalFootballOnline / TFO?

Total Football Online is a new football management game that is completely web-based and unique in that it is played against real managers from across the world.

Can I have a preview?

To show you what we can do, we have certain parts of the site that are "unlocked" to guests - you can view a sample Match report through the "Match of the Day" menu link, sample player stats in the "Team of the Week" page, Sports Page content and more.  Want to see more?  Sign up on a 3week trial!

When are matches played?

All matches are played on Saturdays - so managers must submit teamsheets by midnight on Friday, otherwise team affairs will be handled by your First Team Coach.

What is the minimum period I can become a manager?

The minimum contract is for just 3 weeks.  There is no maximum term at present - 'season ticket' contracts are offered on a season-long basis, but current managers have first option to renew their contract with their chosen team.

How much does it cost?

Managers must sign up in advance, for a minimum of 3 weeks, although discounts are offered for "season tickets" - managers that sign up for a season.  A lot of work needs to be undertaken to sign up a new manager - large areas of the site are customized for new managers eg your Team Folder, Scout reports and more.  For this reason, we have the following prices:

3 week trial purchase:  £1.00/wk.
6 week contract:  £0.80/wk.
"Season Ticket":  £0.60/wk.

Is there a limited time to purchase season tickets?

Yes.  Season tickets must be purchased in 'pre-season', before the full season starts.  Full prices will be displayed on the sign-up page - you only pay for the weeks that matches take place (there are no hidden costs for "player holidays" or "international breaks"!), and the number of weeks will depend on your chosen League (and number of teams in your division).  For instance, the European Super League Div 1 has 6 teams - as all matches are played home and away, that will mean a total of 10 games = 10 weeks.

Can I choose my team?

On the New Manager Sign-up page, a list of currently available teams will be displayed.  Season Ticket managers from the last season have first pick of teams up to a set date (typically 3 weeks before a season starts) - whether to renew their manager contract or select a new club.  After this time all available teams in that League will be displayed and open for new managers.

Once I become a manager, how do I log-in to the site?

We will email your username and password to enter the Members-only area of TFO, and also to access your personal Manager's Folder section of the site - where you can view your team info, finances, team roster, players, training, past history, season results and more.

To log-in to the members-only area, simply navigate to the home page of TFO, and under the main menu (to the left of the site) you will see the Log-In area - requesting your username and password.  Once logged in successfully, a new Members-Only menu will appear beneath the main menu with a wealth of new information essential for our managers including Detailed League-Table Player Stats, Transfer News, Attendance figures, Form Guide and much more!

How do I submit a team-sheet?

Once you sign up as a manager, you will gain access to our site's members-only area with access to all locked content including Detailed League-Table Player Stats (including Top Goalscorers, Top Assists, Most Man of the Match and many more), Transfer News, Attendance Figures, Finances, Form Guide and of course your Manager's Folder.  Within your manager's folder you'll find important information regarding your team, including current team stats and a link to the teamsheet submit page.

At this time, we use a dedicated program to help you submit your team sheet - which uses your current team roster to save you retyping your player's names into each position.  The program also offers drop-down selections for tactics, penalty takers and the "Conditions" that help you manage your team's overall performance.
