FAQ - Match Orders PDF Print E-mail

What influence will my manager have during matches?

Not many good managers will just sit rigid in the dugout for the whole 90minutes.  When using the Team Sheet Forms or Creator program, you will notice a second section or  tabbed window titled "Conditions" - which allow you to give orders throughout the game based on criteria such as time played, score, injuries, yellow/red cards and even number of shots!

The standard starting-11 teamsheet is very simple to complete, but adding orders based on conditions is a more complicated process which requires a lot more attention.  However, as with most things, the more effort put into your team sheet here, the greater the rewards will be.

There are four orders available, these are your commands during the game which all players will obey.

TACTIC - this command says to change the tactic
SUB - this command says to make a substitution
CHANGEPOS - this command says to change a players position
CHANGEAGG - this is the command to change the teams aggression during a match (in other words how hard the team goes into tackles)

To activate the orders during a match there are six options available.  These are your order conditionals.

MIN - this is for the event to occur in a certain minute of the game.
SCORE - this is for the event to occur when the difference in the score is a certain amount (1-0 up is 1, 2-1 down is -1.  1-1 is 0 etc).  This is always displayed as:  Your Score - Opposition score.
SHOTS - this is for the event to occur when the difference in the shots (off target and on target added together) reaches a certain amount.  This is always displayed as:  Your Shots - Opposition Shots.
INJURED - this is for the event to occur when a player of a certain position gets injured
RED - this is for the event to occur when a player of a certain position gets sent off.
YELLOW - this is for the event to occur when a player of a certain position gets yellow carded.

An example of Orders and Conditions:

TACTIC A IF MIN = 55 (//changes the tactic to A in the 55th minute)
SUB 11 15 MF IF SCORE = 2 (//Substitutes Number 11 for number 15 if your side takes a 2 goal lead)
CHANGEPOS 6 AM IF SCORE = -1 (//Changes player 6 to AM if the side goes behind)
CHANGEPOS 6 MF IF SCORE = 0 (//Changes player 6 back to MF is the scores go level)
CHANGEAGG 7 IF YELLOW DF (//Changes the aggression of the team to 7 if a defender is booked)
SUB 9 12 GK IF RED GK (//Takes off player 9 for number 12 if the current GK gets himself sent off)

Certain conditions are handled automatically by your First Team coach, eg if your goalkeeper is sent off, a player with the highest ST ability will replace him between the sticks.  Likewise, if a player is injured he will automatically be replaced with a substitute of the same position (as recorded in the initial team sheet you submitted).
